Brenda Kay Van Meter 59, Jackson, Michigan, formerly of Flint, Michigan, passed away at 5:08 A.M. Friday June 24, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center, Grand Blanc, Michigan.

She was born on July 17, 1956 in Rochester, Indiana, the daughter of Harold Devon and Lois (Burton) Van Meter.

Brenda had worked as a certified nurse aide in Flint, Michigan for many years and enjoyed visiting with friends on Facebook.

Survivors include her mother, Lois Van Meter, Jackson, Michigan, brother, David and wife Barbara Van Meter, Ravenna, Ohio, nieces and nephews, Ron Van Meter and wife Jen, Mason, Michigan, Carrie Van Meter, Barberton, Ohio, Ashley Van Meter, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jessica Van Meter, Colorado Springs, Colorado, David Van Meter, Ravenna, Ohio, Lauren Van Meter, Ravenna, Ohio, great nephew, Joey Van Meter, Mason, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her father in 2012, sister, Barbara Van Meter in 1999, grandparents, Daniel L. and Leona Pauline (Creek) Van Meter and Fred A. and Lelia Bell (Gault) Burton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday June 27, 2016 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Fulton, Indiana, with the Rev. George Hapner officiating.
