Beverly Hapner 82, Rochester, Indiana and formerly of Fulton, Indiana, passed away at 11:37 P.M. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Wynnfield Crossing, Rochester, Indiana.

Beverly was born on July 19, 1935 in Roann, Indiana with a servant’s heart. She was raised by her mother, Florence Helen Byrt and grandparents, Tom and Lizzie Boswell. She was a devoted helpmate and wife to George Hapner for 64 years. Being an only child she wanted a large family. She was successful in that endeavor having five children, fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy and purpose in life was as a wife, mother and grandmother. Her example of love and devotion to God and family is the enduring legacy she has passed down to all the generations of the family she has touched.

Her servant’s heart extended beyond her family as she served by her husband’s side as a pastor’s wife. Many people were touched by her selfless acts of kindness, hundreds of cards sent and dishes of food prepared.

She is survived by her husband George Hapner, Rochester, Indiana, children, Jill and husband Tim Strasser, Fulton, Indiana, Jeff and wife Molly Hapner, Chicago, Illinois, Jeanna and husband Allen Paschen, Twelve Mile, Indiana, Jayne and husband Brett Tam, Rochester, Indiana, Jack Hapner and friend Heidi Rich, Kokomo, Indiana,  grandchildren, Adam and wife Scarlett Strasser, Amber and husband Nick Hinderlider, Andrew and wife Laneia Strasser, Ryan Paschen and friend Kelsey Danhauser, Crysta and husband Justin Bowyer, Matt and wife Jessica Paschen, Kelly and husband Adam Shidler, Alicia and husband Ryan Helt, Mitchell Tam, Helen, Bridget, Sarah, Emma, Molly, and Claire Hapner, great-grandchildren, Marley, Delaney, Shayley, Paisley, Ayden, Addison, Violet, Lane, Drew, Darah, Rilyn, Rachel, Henry, Hazel, Annemarie, Maggie, Kate, and Camden and grandchildren of the heart, Cameron, Quinten, Kaylea, and Blakely.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the Fulton United Methodist Church, Fulton, Indiana. Burial will be at a later date at Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Indiana.
